We LOVE Nashville. There is so much to do here, the people are wonderful and the food delicious! The KOA campground here is by far the nicest we've been in. The site is huge. Not only did we not have to unhook the dolly from the RV, but we were able to park the Fiat and another car in our site. The weirdest thing was that for some reason neither Rusty or I took a picture of the RV while it was parked. I did get a picture from the front door of the RV but it's hard to get the perspective:
Each site has a fire pit, a table and chairs and a rocking bench. We didn't spend a lot of time here because there was so much to do, but we loved it all the same.
Rusty and I couldn't leave Nashville without doing a couple of tourist stops. We decided to do two completely polar opposites while we were there. Our first tourist stop was the Haunted Hearse Tour. They drive you around in a hearse that's had the top chopped off and benches added for seats. For some strange reason Rusty and I were the only ones on the tour and we had a blast. The hearse was a 1984 Cadillac. We found out about all the ghosts haunting Nashville from a hearse, at night, with great tunes! Rusty remembers more of the stories than I do, but he's not as good as blogging as I am so you'll just have to do the tour if you want to find out about the ghosts. Probably my favorite place was music row, not so much because of the ghost story but I didn't even realize there was such a thing in Nashville (I know, naive, right?) Rusty really liked the stop at the cemetery but that one really creeped me out.
Probably my favorite tourist thing to do was a canoe ride on the Harpeth River. Tip-A-Canoe was the place we were recommended to use and we weren't disappointed. A heron followed us as we moseyed down the Harpeth. I didn't take my camera but I did get this awesome photo with my phone:
We saw turtles, lots of fish and absolutely no one else. It was so beautiful!
We could have stayed in Nashville for a month and still not seen it all or done everything we wanted to do. But Rusty wants to head to Red Bay, Alabama to have Tiffin work on the issues with the RV so that's where we're headed next.

SEND THIS TO MOLLY because she's there and I can't figure out how to do it. :)
ReplyDeleteMolly has been reading the blog so I'm sure she'll see it. She didn't think she would have much time to do tourist things.
